Regarding the small entry, that is quite common with our handcrafted construction. As the leather breaks in and conforms to your foot, you should find that getting them on becomes much easier and the fit becomes even more "dialed in."

For these being "graded" or factory blem... There's is practically nothing wrong with them. Just a small knock on the sole and a small mark near the toe on one boot. Both are marks I'D probably create on my own after one wearing.
For size though... I ordered my normal size. Big mistake. With boot socks on I can't get my foot out of the boot without my wife and I struggling together to make it happen. With my foot inside the boot it is just a hair tight but not enough for me to feel daring enough to buy another pair yet.
