When I told my girlfriend how much I spent on a gi, she looked at me like I was outta my mind. I hit her with the “SEED TO STITCH” line—Made in the USA, baby.
Next thing I know, I’m deep down the rabbit hole learning about how this company is actually doing it. Not outsourcing. Not cutting corners. Just making legit, high-quality gis right here in the U.S.—and doing it right.
Mine showed up just in time for belt promotions at my academy, and that session was hot. This gi handled it like a champ. Breathes way better than I expected, even without a rashguard, and keeps the sweat off way better than anything else I’ve worn.
This thing is now my favorite gi. Gonna have to save up for another one, because once you wear it, you’ll understand—one just isn’t enough.
Now all I need is an IBJJF comp-legal version.
Let’s go. USA IS BACK.

Ordered an A4 by using the sizing guide. I'm usually an A3, but A4 said XL, and I'm an XL for all my other Origin gear - and all my other gear fits like a dream.
Upon getting this gi, I was swimming in it. No worries, ga e it a wash and hung it to dry - no change. Washed it warm and tumbled low - no change. Washed it hit and tumbled it on high- no change.
I'm pretty disappointed. After waiting 2+ weeks from ordering to shipping, I'm left with a gi that I can't wear. And all for a price that would have let me buy 4 gis from competitors. The material of the top and pants and perfect and buttery soft, but when they get wet (with sweat) the material stretches out even more drastically.
I could pay another $100 to have it tailored and make it functional, but I've been assured that the double/triple stitch construction wouldn't be the same, and therefore, a little less well-constructed. Not to mention the panel construction of the jacket isn't conducive to tailoring.
This was a gift from my wife, and I've worn it to one class. Will think twice about ordering gis from Origi. Again. This was an expensive lesson to learn to stick to their no gi gear.

We are truly disappointed to learn about the significant sizing issues you've experienced with this gi. Having followed our sizing guide only to receive a gi that runs drastically large, even after multiple washing attempts, clearly fell short of providing the precise fit you rightfully expected from our BJJ apparel.
We appreciate your positive assessment of the fabric's softness, we understand how frustrating it must be to receive a gift of this caliber, especially from your wife, only to find it unwearable due to sizing inconsistencies.
The complications with potential alterations, from the additional cost to the impact on the gi's structural integrity, compound this disappointing experience. While we strive to deliver products worthy of your investment and trust, we recognize that this gi has not met our standards for sizing accuracy and performance.
Your detailed feedback about both the initial fit and the fabric's behavior during use will help inform our improvement efforts in future product development and sizing specifications.

As a new dad time to me is precious , and like the previous nano pearl gi this washes and dries in now time . And thats saying a lot seeing as in ireland the typical gi could take north of 3 days to dry . Both origin gis keep me on the mats and are great feeling

I came from the typical Amazon GI when I started training BJJ. I recently made the investment on the Origin Rift Gi and couldn't be happier. The fit is so comfortable and the raptor weave is such a fascinating material. I ordered an A2 and the fit was just a tad big but shrunk to a near perfect fit after the first wash. Overall I'm extremely satisfied and excited to see how this gi breaks in long term.
