Out of the box I could tell these sandals were designed to last, however I questioned whether they would be comfortable since they were very stiff with no give and no arch support. Unfortunately, the catch-22 is you have to wear them to see if they break in and wearing them prevents you from returning them. On hindsight I should have returned them. While the sandals do compress a little bit to fit your foot, it is minimal. The midsole is just too hard. If you're looking for a sandal to wear around the house, then these would work. But for all-day wear or walking, I would not recommend. I'd rate them right in the middle at 2.5 if I could, so I rounded up.

I thought I would love these as I love all the rest of my Origin gear. However, after a month of wearing them I discovered that my foot slips in them while walking. I noted after a few hours of wear that my ankles were killing me. After some analysis I observed that my other sandals don't allow my foot to slip when the ankle articulates. These Origin sandals are slippery where the foot sole contacts the sandal sole. No bueno for me. Its like trying to walk on ice...no traction despite wearing footwear. They are ok for a short trip to the mats of justice to the locker room but count me as a hard no for a sandal that goes everywhere. Please improve the footbed of these sandals. I wanted to love them.

These are actually the first pair of sandals I have ever purchased. They are aging well and look better as they age. I would say the fit is a bit loose, but could just be me.

Origin Flop Leather Sandal are excellent in build and fit. Love American Made and all the clothing I have purchased. These Flops are very comfortable and stay on without issue. I expect these will last several years.
