I've gone through several red wings over the course of 12+ years of construction type work I've done. I decided to buy American and stop consuming so much. Quality above all. These boots are no exception. Tell you what, the first time you go to tie them up and you feel how SOFT the laces are, you know something is different. Right away. Break in was super easy. Maybe 3 days of work and they started creasing in all the right places. I DO NOT NEED INSERTS WITH THESE. The sole is so freaking comfortable. Feels like memory foam and whatever makes it different, also makes it better than having memory foam in your boots haha. Great work. Happy customer here!

Was shopping for new work boots and wanted top quality. I looked at some of the competitors that say American made. That actually are American assembled with global materials. Some with big social media campaigns and paid reviews or influencer backing that leaves doubts for a real working man if you know what mean. Through the search I found Origin. After some research I found this is a company I can get behind. No BS just top quality boots truly made in the USA by craftsman! If you are in the trades what’s not to love about that!!! 100% American made that the working man can afford without some crazy lead time. Mine shipped in 4 weeks as expected . Break in was easy, a few days wear and good to go. I wear these daily in the fab shop with no complaints. I did notice that while out cutting trees on the farm they were not my favorite for uneven soft ground or stepping on and around the tree piles. Not uncomfortable really just a tad of unwanted side to side movement. That could possibly be resolved by tightening the laces. But overall working in the shop and on hard surfaces for full days I couldn’t be happier!

Took a couple weeks before I started a new job to break them in. Now that I’ve started my new job they are working great. I may get some sort of insert for extra cushion since I’m currently on concrete all day. But I’ll give it another week or so. Over all very happy with my choice.

Standing on concrete all day is no joke, so an extra insert is a solid idea to give you that added cushion while you’re putting in the work. Iv owned many pairs of leather work boots over the years. These boots stand tall and proud next to my RedWing boots which were also made in America before Redwing sold out. These boots break in quick, are comfortable and the wedge sole is great when I’m working on concrete floors in the plant. Fit true to size. If you’re reading this review and balking at the price, just know you are buying a quality boot and putting money back into an American worker’s pocket, just like you.
