When we set out to build the GTFO Collection, we handed it to a bunch of Gen X’ers and told them to do what they do best. They jumped out of airplanes, hiked the Appalachian Trail, hunted in the Maine mountains, and wandered the cobbled streets of Europe. We made a few tweaks, refined the fit, and built the perfect pant—one that performs day after day after day.

We documented the first time we put the GTFO Pant to the test. Naturally it involved Special Forces Operators jumping out of helicopters into the remote backcountry of MOAB, UT.

ORIGIN NYLOC®

Origin NYLOC® is a proprietary 99% nylon, 1% spandex performance fabric engineered for rugged durability, lightweight comfort, and unrestricted movement. Weighing just 7.2 oz, it delivers military-grade abrasion resistance, 4-way stretch, water and odor resistance, and mil-spec reinforced stitching. Built to handle harsh conditions and high-output activity, it's designed and developed in the USA and proudly manufactured in Asheboro, North Carolina.

    Comfortable durable and pricey

    These shorts are comfortable and feel pretty durable. That said, in the future I’ll probably stick with the Gerry shorts I used to get from Costco. The Origin shorts seem a little too expensive for the relatively minor improvements. Since I’m not in shorts very often here in Western Washington, it’s hard for me to justify the premium.

    I do appreciate that they’re made in the USA, and I’ll continue to support Origin. However, I’ll probably skip these in the future.

    These shorts are sweet and wear them all the time. Great for golf as well. I will say, the color has more green tint than comes through in the photo. Still highly recommend
