Initially, I purchased a pair of Thorogood boots that were on sale, as I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend over $300 on a pair of boots. Thankfully, I checked the Origin website over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and they were running an excellent sale. I instantly printed a sizing guide from the website, and ordered the American Bison, 6 inch boot, big lug. Before even receiving these boots, I returned the Thorogoods. That was the best decision ever. The Origin boots came in today. Shipping from Maine to Massachusetts was much quicker than anticipated, considering it is a relatively small company. The instant I opened them, I knew I made the right call. They are a thing of beauty! The quality far surpasses the Thorogoods. I must admit, I was nervous trying them on as I placed a lot of faith in a printed paper size guide. But, let me tell you, sizing is spot on. Right out of the box, they were comfortable. Of course, some break in will be needed. But, as I have been wearing them around the house this afternoon, they are already getting more and more comfortable. I will never hesitate to buy another pair of boots from Origin, regardless of price. It’s a win-win, you get an excellent pair of boots, and are supporting a company from Maine, one of the most beautiful states!

I've been wearing the boots for a few months now and they are amazing. Break-in took almost no time. Super comfortable. Time will tell how durable they are, but the seem rock solid thus far.

I was never a boot guy before but when I moved to CO, I knew I was going to have to invest in a good pair. Not only do they function well and keep my feet warm, they also get compliments from random strangers on an almost daily basis. Best choice ever!

Great boots out of the box! Took delivery of them right before the daily backwoods doggy hike. They fit snug, the leather soft and pliable. Plenty of wiggle room in the toe box. The big lugs are perfect for the uneven terrain and forest litter. The foam foot bed and insoles are super comfy. Like a velvet glove over and iron first. So much better that the Iron Ranger beating the heck out of your feet for the first 1,000 miles. Definitely looking forward to owning other styles of my new favorite boot brand, Origin.
