These are the best quality boat shoes I have ever seen. In spite of the fact, bison leather stretches, my toes felt like they were jammed in a kids shoe. I do not normally order wide sizes.
As soon as the toe box shape is adjusted, or they are offered in wide sizes, I will buy a new pair.
I love Origin as a company, and would love to have a pair of properly shaped boat shoes.

When someone recognizes the elite craftsmanship but gives us specific insight on fit, that's gold. We totally get the toe box concern - even with bison leather's natural stretch, getting that perfect fit is everything. Your point about wide sizing is spot on and something we're always evaluating as we develop our footwear line. I normally wear a size 9.5 but ordered a size up to 10 because I wear wide shoes. Day one, I hated it. The shoes felt tight in the toe box and I regretted not going 10.5.
However, I knew bison leather stretched. After two days of breakin I no longer felt a constricted toe box with or without socks. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.
My origin bison leather boots lasted about 7 years. I'm hoping to get just as long out of these.

That's exactly how bison leather is supposed to work - it starts firm but molds perfectly to your feet once it breaks in. Seven years out of your bison boots is incredible, and these boat shoes are built with that same premium leather and craftsmanship, so you should get plenty of life out of them too. Thanks for sticking with it through the break-in period and for trusting American-made quality again!

I like the look of these shoes but they are narrow and pretty tight. I ordered one size up and I am glad I did because my regular size would not have fit. Even at one size up they are tight and the toe is narrow. I am hoping they stretch as advertised because I do like the look. I think these shoes need to be made in wide sizes to better fit people with wide feet like mine.

We're hopeful the leather will break in nicely for you as you wear them, but you're absolutely right that you shouldn't have to rely solely on stretching to get a comfortable fit. The leather looks and feels great. Stitching is spot on. If you don’t look close enough to see that the upper is crooked to the soles you would think you had a really good quality shoe. If you look more closely you will see that the shoes are like the jeans in the fact that the seams are never straight and the legs are never the same size. I have been buying Origin products since the beginning in hopes that the quality would eventually improve to match the price point. I’ve ordered jeans in pairs every time and have never gotten any that fit the same in the 10 pairs I’ve bought. This is the first pair of shoes I’ve bought, and more than likely the last. The quality just doesn’t match the price point. I have other American Made shoes and boots that are a little more expensive, but the quality of craftsmanship is a lot better.

Worn these a couple of days now and love the look. Starting to break in well after a couple of wears. Can be dressy or casual. So glad these came back in stock! Nothing beats American Made!
