I purchased these boots in the size that I wear in every shoe and boot after having confirmed the size again using Origin's measurement guide. The boots pinched the top of my foot but were also too big in the heel and front. I also noted that the leather strips with the holes for laces were uneven and not the same length. It seemed like a manufacturing defect and I assumed this was part of the reason they fit so badly, given how high quality Origin's other products have been. I never wore the boots other than to put them on (indoors), lace them up, and walk two steps forward and back. I knew immediately that there was no way these boots fit correctly and I wasn't risking $300 hoping the break in period would fix it. They were put back in the box and never worn again.

I submitted the return. Almost two months later I received an email stating that the return was rejected because the boots showed signs of wear. They sent a detailed message with pictures noting creases in the leather and marks from the laces, and basically told me I was trying to sneak in a return of boots I'd worn. There is apparently no discussion or recourse, or even the offer of a store credit rather than a straight refund. I replied to the email with the points I've made here and got no response other than a form request to rate the staff member's customer service skills.
