Far exceeds my expectations. I know I’ve said this in other reviews, but I have no idea how Origin has any margins at all. These are 100% on equal footing to viberg boots which start at over $800. Storm welt was a welcome surprise, I’m not sure if the description mentions them. Extremely comfortable out of the box, and have already started aging beautifully. Looking forward to seeing these in 10 years.

I love these boots, the foot beds are extremely comfortable, boots have been my daily footwear for decades but these needed a few simple changes for me, the first was the laces, the flat waxed ones that came on the boots were too sticky in the eyes, they would not snug up, a switch to round laces fixed that, if they came with both types everyone would be happy, the biggest change needed is to put speed hooks on the top 3 rows to replace the eyes,, I don’t want to have to thread the laces into and out of the eyes every single time I put the boots on, I can’t be the only one, a shoe repair shop fixed that issue for me, would love to see that option done at the factory, then they would be 5 star boots !

You make excellent points about both the lace type and the speed hook suggestion. The flat waxed laces definitely have their pros and cons, and we can see how round laces would provide a different feel for threading and adjustment. Your idea about including both types is really thoughtful.
We'll definitely pass both suggestions along to our design team as they consider future iterations of the Bison line. Details like lace options and hardware choices can really make the difference in daily usability.

I've still new at owning and using boots. I have certain boots from a company that's named after a day of the week. But, these boots nailed it comfortably. I have wide feet and normally wear 11 in running shoes and 10.5 in wide fits. Ordered a 10.5 in wide and these are so comfortable that I didn't want to take them off. Great job Origin!!!
