We definitely build our gear with an athletic silhouette, but for guys who are 'carrying a little extra hardware' in the shoulders and arms, sizing up is a pro move. 5'8" and 195 lbs with a solid upper body is exactly the kind of build that benefits from that extra room in an XL.
