I've followed Origin for a long time, but never had one of their Gi's before now, just their rash guards. But I've always really respected what they are doing. Honestly, one of the reason's I've never had an Origin Gi prior to now was the price, and I also always wanted the lightest weight Gi possible because I live in Texas and it gets blazing hot down here for half of the year.

This is my 6th Gi, so I have had several different brands/Gi's prior to this one. Several of them are also great Gi's with excellent reviews, and while I still like those Gi's, this is the best Gi I have ever worn/rolled in! It is super soft and comfortable to roll in, an honestly, I don't even really know its there when I'm rolling.

I bought this as a combo with the Origin Nano Pearl Comp Gi and Pro BJJ pants, Both are incredible. This is now my favorite Gi. The plastic snaplock belt buckle on the Pro pants is awesome, and I don't even know it's there when I roll. The pants are light, and I like how they are tailored compared to normal Gi pants from other manufacturers, yet they don't feel constricting at all. The Gi Jacket and Pro pants launder well and it's super helpful that they don't shrink and I can just throw all my BJJ stuff in the dryer on extra low and they dry quickly.

The fit is true to size and Origin's sizing recommendation guide was spot on for me. I'm 5'10", 200 lbs., 53 years old with an athletic build. Origin recommended size 36/28 pants for me and they fit me…
