I’ve wanted an origin boot for awhile, heard amazing reviews of the original boot , but was not sold on the sole attachement method as many cobblers don’t pose the skill or want to deal with a stitch down method that origin implemented on the Coronado and others for the back 2/3 of their original boot.
They finally changed this with the Goodyear welt boot, tough, easy to resole and you don’t get the crud/debris build up under the leather where it tucked in under your foot.
Comfort is second to none, it’s like putting on a pair of trainers. Zero hot spots.
Colour is fantastic, only draw back here is whatever conditioner you use will darken the leather. Which means you loose the amazing cooler. Why the review is a 4 /5, minor but needs to be noted for others.
Fit, their size chart is spot on, print it off and line up
Your feet to the marks and voila. Boots that fit and fit properly with just the right amount of spacing. Do not size up from The size on the sheet thinking you need a finger/thumb spacing. the size that it tells you to buy on the sheet is what you buy. if in btw the available sizing size up as per usual.
These were bought for everyday use, casual and everything else. They get used for longer walks in the winter with the dog, working in an office they look great, and a whatever else I chuck at them. The vibram
Sole should last forever, my other boots that had the same sole barely show wear and tear. Personally I’d steer clear of the white blown rubber…

Great boots, out of the box comfort, Good support. I walk alot through the mountains and to be able to put a pair of boots on and not have to break them in is a wonderful thing. Very good boot overall.
