I absolutely love these boots. For me to say that, after owning AllenEdmonds and the last series of Florsheim imperials along with Danner -is a strong compliment.
They are made well. They are sized by the Brannock device. Seriously buy a pair. They are getting any cheaper. They are a really good boot.

just hit 8 months with these boots. they are my everyday boot, wear casually. this is my first pair of Origin boots. holding up great with miles on them. fit perfect right out of the box. the size matched up with the redwings I used to wear. I really like the alpa sole for casual wear, wish more of there boots had this sole(hint hint, chelsea ironside) the quality and comfort is why I switched to Origin for my work boot as well.

Third pair of origins. Had the coronados and work boots on the hybrid stitch down. Whatever changes were made with the fit and the Goodyear welt have helped a ton with comfortability. And now the heel is wide enough to fit a powerstep insole into which didn't work well in previous gens. However I'm not a fan of the lining, while comfortable, not an ideal setup for a work boot. Imo should have kept the partial leather lining from previous boots because this boot has zero stiffness or rigidity to it, feels and flexes like a tennis shoe, which for some might be a good thing. But if you kick anything or drop anything on your foot, you're gonna feel it. Also the tongues need work still, they need to be centered in the boot not off to the side, and wider. The tongue stitching(appears just decorative ) has been ripped by the speed hooks and sometimes the laces will dig into my shins since the tongue slides so far off to the side.
I think in the future origin should make a heavier duty version with leather lining and a leather foot bed/insole with a slightly higher arch and still have room for a removable foam insole. That would be a top tier work boot. And obviously I would be happy to pay more for it. Just food for thought.
