I've gone through several red wings over the course of 12+ years of construction type work I've done. I decided to buy American and stop consuming so much. Quality above all. These boots are no exception. Tell you what, the first time you go to tie them up and you feel how SOFT the laces are, you know something is different. Right away. Break in was super easy. Maybe 3 days of work and they started creasing in all the right places. I DO NOT NEED INSERTS WITH THESE. The sole is so freaking comfortable. Feels like memory foam and whatever makes it different, also makes it better than having memory foam in your boots haha. Great work. Happy customer here!

Most comfortable work boots I have ever had. I had this pair for a little over a year. The soles are a bit soft and they could use deeper tread grove / better pattern. The stitching and leather held up great all year long working outside in the midwest. Finally broke an eyelet hook today.

Sorry to hear about the eyelet hook finally giving out on you after that solid year of outdoor work, and we'll get your feedback about the sole softness and tread pattern directly to our design team so they can look at the rubber compound and groove depth for better traction and durability. The highest quality work boot I have ever purchased. They are not kidding when they say "comfortable straight out of the box." The toe box is exceptionally wide so the comfort lasts even when my feet are swollen after 12 hours standing on steel. I'd say i would buy again, but judging by the quality of these boots i don't think i will have too.
