I removed these merino wool pants and wasn't quite sure if they were the replacement wool pants I was looking for. I've been wearing a wool blend pant from Columbia for over 10 years. They were worn out and it was time for a change. The Origin pants are so different. My first test was during a hunt on a 30 degree F day. The pants initially made me feel too warm but ended up being PERFECT! The next time I wore them it was 2 degrees F with the wind chill. I figured that I wouldn't be warm enough....WRONG! They pants kept me the perfect temp again! In addition they are fitted nicely, they have nice deep pockets so ya won't lose a pocket knife or your keys. The pocket on the leg is perfect for a zip lock bag with TP.

Now for the camo pattern.....I wasn't too sure about that either at first. What I've learned over the last few hunts is that I blend in nicely to the vegetation/woods in the NE. I had a photo taken to check how my profile is broken up in the woods and in my opinion I'd say pretty darn good.

My only regret is the top isn't available in my size.

The origin stealth wool is a life saver. I recently retired from the MIL and moved back to WV to live in a RV while our house gets built. All of our stuff is in storage and we are having a very cold winter. These pants, along with their hooded counterpart are the warmest clothes I have with me. I have one pair that I wear for a week or more before I wash em, mostly because I need them to keep warm. Although I got them for the hunt, I am using them more to keep warm around the farm now that hunting is over. Regular ole synthetic and cotton just doesn’t work the same. Thanks Origin for creating a great product.
