I don't know how they've made these so comfortable. These are a pleasant surprise. They're fantasticly comfortable out of the box. I wore them for 12 hours and many miles the first day. The leather is of such high quality that even though it's very supple I think they will last for many years. Didn't know that you could get Vibram made in the USA so, good on you Origin!

After reading several reviews and noticing a tighter toe box compared to the Origin Moc Toe boot, I decided to give these a summer of wear to break them in. These days, we have all gotten too accustomed to the instant gratification of disposable "slip-in" comfort that has no lasting value. Real quality takes time. For context, I still own a faithful pair of USA-made Dexter boat shoes that are at least 26 years old and well-seasoned. Expecting a brand-new, genuine leather shoe to fit like a glove right out of the box is unrealistic; quality leather needs time to conform to your unique footprint.

I am so glad I waited. After one summer of wear, the leather has softened beautifully and molded perfectly to my feet, making these my absolute favorite shoes. If I had panicked and returned them for a larger size, they would definitely be too loose now. Trust the process—they are well worth the break-in period!

I try to keep this short. But bottom line - I love these shoes.

I ordered these after seeing the Origin founders in a video about Quoddy shoes in Lewiston ME. I'm a big fan of the moccasin style of shoemaking that's epicenter is Lewiston ME. Quoddy makes these shoes to Origin's design spec. (The flex soles is a hallmark of some Quoddy shoes - which I own).

I'm a size 11 on a Brannock, and reviews said to order normal size, even though I usually size down 1/2 for natural leathers. The 11 came and was very comfortable. A touch long, but a low toe box so didn't feel loose. I decided to order a size 10.5 to see if that would tighten it up. They arrived and were tight, but barefoot wear loosened them and I love them.

Bottom line: I'm keeping both. At the deal price of $199 it's worth it. I can wear the 11s with socks. And the look and feel are outstanding. I'm 200lb, but walk a lot, so my feet and legs are in good shape. The softe sole might bother heavier wearers, but I love the flex sole, It's a winner.
