Parents who bought it
Kids wear it.
Parents notice.
Straight from parents whose kids train in it, including the part about fit.
“Wonderful material, looks sharp, plenty of sleeve to take in at the tailor, grow into, and take back out later…”
“My son loves Origin Gi's just like his dad. It is all we wear unless it is a seminar day…”
“Really like this gi… Second one for my son and he loves competing in it”
“My daughter absolutely loves this GI, but the pants do seem to be pretty big… Other than sizing being off, this Gi delivers.”
The build
Built light.
Built to last.
Kids' gis take a beating from grips, takedowns, weekly washes and growth spurts. Here's where cheap gis give out, and how this one holds up.
- Seams and kneesWhere cheap gis fail
Seams split and knees wear through after a few months of drills.
The ORIGIN fixTriple-stitch felled seams, a built-in gusset and reinforced stress points.
- The waistbandWhere cheap gis fail
Pants slide down mid-roll, and kids stop to fix them.
The ORIGIN fixThe Pro-Loc closure system keeps the pants cinched.
- HeatWhere cheap gis fail
Heavy fabric holds sweat, and kids overheat in class.
The ORIGIN fixLightweight fabric with inside-out moisture wicking moves sweat to the outside so it dries fast.
- LaundryWhere cheap gis fail
Stains set in, and the gi comes out of the dryer wrinkled.
The ORIGIN fixAn anti-wrinkle, soil-release and stain-repellent finish. Machine wash cold.
- MovementWhere cheap gis fail
Stiff cuts fight kids when they shrimp, bridge and scramble.
The ORIGIN fixA Cowboy Cut for a comfort fit that moves with them.

Questions
Before
you buy.
What size should I order?
Order your child's age size, from 5-6 up to 10-11. It runs roomy. One parent's 8-year-old fit the 5-6, and another found the 10-11 big on a 4'10", 115 lb 12-year-old. If your child is between sizes, check the size chart.
My kid wants to start Jiu-Jitsu after the movie. Is this a good first gi?
Yes. It's light, so new kids don't overheat, and the Pro-Loc waist keeps the pants up during drills. Ask your coach about any gym gi rules before you order.
Is a belt included?
No. The gi ships without a belt. Ask your gym which belt your kid needs.
Black or white?
White is the color the kids wear in the movie. If your gym has a color rule, check with your coach first.
Is this the gi from the movie?
Yes. The kids' class in Way of the Warrior Kid trains in the ORIGIN Warrior Kid gi. Look for the ORIGIN mark on the sleeve.
Can my kid compete in it?
Check with your instructor and the event's gi rules before any competition.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold with like colors. Use non-chlorine bleach only. Tumble dry low. Do not use fabric softener, and do not dry clean.
Where is it made?
In the USA. The gi is 100% American-made, and ORIGIN cuts and sews it in Farmington, Maine.
What if it doesn't fit?
