Craftsmanship that Stands the Test of Time
Proudly Made in the USA
These boots are more than just footwear; they are a testament to the enduring spirit of American craftsmanship. Proudly 100% American made, they carry the soul of a community that has been making footwear for over 200 years.
For over 100 years, G.H. Bass manufactured footwear in America, operating a thriving factory in the mill town of Wilton, Maine. And then it was gone. Shuttered and silent. But why did Bass leave Wilton? And who did it leave behind?

A Legacy of American Craftsmanship
2019
2019
In January of 2019, Origin™ began development on our initial line of footwear. Later that year in October production started in the new Farmington, ME factory.
2020
2020
2020 was a year of hardships for everyone and Origin™ was no different. Production halted on boots as a quick pivot was made to making masks during the pandemic due to shortages across the country. In May, the Tasman Tannery closed its doors, leaving Origin™ without a supplier for American leather. Origin would later partner with Seidel Tanning to resume boot production in July of 2020.
2021
2021
2021 was the first full calendar year of boot making for Origin™ as a brand. During this year, we introduced the safety toe to our boots allowing for them to be worn on job sites across the United States.
2022
2022
In September of 2022, Origin™ began preparation to create Goodyear Welt constructed boots.
2023
2023
2023 was a year of refinement for Origin™ boots. Small but impactful adjustments were made to the construction of our boots, like taller, gusseted tongues to keep debris outside of the boots to expanded toe boxes for additional comfort while getting things done.
2024
2024
2024 has been a massive year for Origin™ boot manufacturing. Over the course of this year we've returned to our roots with a limited time launch of older styles like the Lincoln boot, we launched the official boot of the UFC - The Coronado Hybrid Boot, and we collaborated with American whiskey brand Hooten Young on a fathers day boot and whiskey set. Finally, we are now continuing this year with the launch of the Maine Moc Toe Boot, which is the first of many Goodyear welt boots to come.
