I was initially hesitant about these boots since they’re a new style from Origin. However, my first impression is outstanding—exceptional quality, styling, and fit. There’s no heel slip, and the toe box is perfectly sized. Supporting a company like Origin, which manufactures in the USA, is a priority for many of us. These boots justify the premium price compared to overseas alternatives. Not only are you backing American craftsmanship, but you’re also getting a superior product. Well done, Origin!

I wanted something Made in the USA, with a wide toe-box, with really good leather and styling, a good fit, and that would be my first high-end boot that I could have repaired in the future. I got this, except I messed up a little on the sizing. This is not Origin's fault, it is mine, but perhaps others can learn from my very slight sizing points, so I mention them.
Among the things I like a lot:
- I have not previously bought boots this expensive, but I can say that the leather seems to live up to what I would expect.
- I just love their commitment to made-in-USA.
- Once I removed the rubber thin sole that comes inside the boot (so that I could put in my orthopedics), I thought the inside of the boot seems quite well squared away. I am used to having to rip out glued-in pieces and/or look at some not-very-presentable inner material, but in this case it looked pretty good.
- I don't know if I will have the boot re-soled once I wear it out, but I like having that option.

notes on sizing:
- my custom orthopedics take up slightly more volume than the included insole.
- a shoe salesperson recently remarked to me that as we age, the foot may get a bit bigger in size.
I should have ordered a 10 EE instead of a 9 1/2 EE, and that's what I'll do next time I need to buy, but I have never successfully ordered any size 10s before, so I was just reluctant.

These boots are amazing. The fit is great, there was basically no break-in needed, and these are the first boots I've ever owned that I didn't feel the need to get additional arch supports for.

The boots are difficult to put on--the height of the instep is snug. Once on, they are comfortable. I'm very disappointed that the vamp of the left boot has a permanent transverse crease as though it had been tried on previously. The boots are also slightly different colors. Not what I expected at a premium price point.
