I work in the residential construction industry as a carpenter. I do everything from earth work, concrete, framing, to finish carpentry. For the past 20 years, I’ve worn Levi’s 505 and Wrangler Cowboy cut jeans for work. I was always on the fence to try jeans that cost $100 or more. After listening to an interview with Pete on a podcast and listening to his story about Origin, I finally pulled the trigger and bought 3 pairs of the boot cut work jeans. Because of the cost, i had these three pairs of jeans for a 5 days work week (instead of buying 5), worn multiple days without a wash. For context, when I wore Levi’s or Wranglers, I would get about 3 months before a huge hole developed in the knee, as I kneel a lot on the job sites. Also, Levi’s and Wranglers are about $60 a pair. I’ve attached a photo with a pair of Origin Boot Cut Work jeans I purchased October 2023 next to a pair of brand new Origin Boot Cut Work jeans I received April 2025 and I’ve been telling everyone about the quality. They lasted 1 year 6 months before the hole in the knee got pretty large, although not as large as the Levi’s or Wranglers would be at 3 months. The price tag seems steep but when you do the math compared to Levi’s or Wranglers it’s actually much more cost effective to buy the better quality jeans as they last so much longer and you can feel very proud that you are supporting a company that has put American manufacturing at the forefront. I purchased a pair of the Maverick Relaxed jeans (in size 32W 28L), prior to ordering the boot cut version (in 32W 28L). My goal was to have jeans I could wear with my western-style boots.

Unfortunately, the boot cut version I ordered could not have fit more different than the other pair I had. As you can see in the attached photos, the boot cut version was significantly shorter than my other pair, as well as significantly tighter. I recognize that there are likely differences in how the boot cut and relaxed version are meant to fit. However, I would not suspect that two pairs of the same size would differ this much.

I also recognize the possibility that the relaxed pair I already had could have ran large, and that the boot cut ones I received were more true-to-size. However, I would also like to think that there would be some consistency across designs that would have made this more apparent.

I do believe in Origin as a company, but I am disappointed in how these turned out. I hope that the issues in sizing consistency are taken care of soon as I enjoy the ones I have that do fit.

Was tired of spending $20-$30 a month for a pair of work jeans at box stores and had already purchased a pair of origin jeans as my nice jeans for dinner and holidays so decided to buy a couple pairs for work these lasted 16 months of high concentrate bleach soft washing jobs and landscaping so now im down to one work pair. the bleach didnt really mess with the fit or feel and id still be using them if I didnt get bleach on the crotch region recently and that made them start to tear but other than that very sturdy and worth the price for american made jeans even with the year and a half of wear and tear they still fit true and held up considerably well to the bleach, fuel and oil they have come in contact with came out to around $7-$9 a month vs. $20 a month for the cheaper worse looking and fit box store brands

I really wanted to like these jeans, but they’re just too tight through the seat and thighs. I like the material weight and slight stretch, but boot cut jeans should not fit like “skinny jeans”.

My first pair of origin jeans were delta flex (fighter fit) and they are awesome, ample room in the waist, seat and thighs - I wear them all the time.

So I ordered the same size waist and length for these boot cut jeans and they are so tight I will never be able to wear them. Can’t even get my hands in the pockets when wearing them - overall waste of $140.
